Helping Futures Take Flight.

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge was to craft a distinctive brand identity for Dream Center Sacramento amidst a landscape of over 11,000 non-profits in the region, necessitating an iconic visual identity that effectively sets it apart and captures attention.

THE PROCESS

The process of designing the Dream Center Sacramento logo involved a meticulous exploration of symbols evoking the essence of "dreams," ranging from cloud motifs to wing representations.

 

Ultimately, the concept of wings was embraced, as they symbolize the transformative journey from one place to another - a parallel to the non-profit's mission of guiding individuals towards positive change.

Proxima Nova and Dahmer Slab were thoughtfully selected as the brand's typography, embodying the sought-after blend of boldness and modernity that resonates with Dream Center Sacramento's dynamic identity.

The color palette of powder blue, black, silver, and white was chosen to reflect the sky's serene inspiration, while the inclusion of black, silver, and white contributed to a modernized aesthetic

Diverse iterations of the brand mark were developed to ensure adaptability across an array of surfaces, materials, fabrics, and metals, accommodating the multifaceted application requirements demanded by the non-profit's versatile usage needs.

Since the nonprofit operates from a mobile unit, the truck’s branding was meticulously crafted to command attention from miles away while ensuring visual clarity. The design strategically integrates the iconic wings symbol, reinforcing local community recognition and familiarity.

The creation of "Flight Stories" served as a powerful medium to share impactful narratives on behalf of Dream Center Sacramento, effectively communicating the brand's tagline "Helping futures take flight."

THE RESULT

The completion of Dream Center Sacramento's branding ushered in a fresh and captivating identity within the local community, leading to its launch generating over $12,000 in support, a testament to the resonance and impact of the imagined brand.
